In November of 2011, Chemcare Group was awarded a Good Corporate Citizen Award by the Minister Hon. Martin Aini, MP from the Department of Labour and Industrial Relations. Chemcare Group was awarded this recognition for the Group’s excellent contribution to the recruiting and training of Papua New Guinean workers, compliance with the Employment of Non-citizens Act 2007 and Immigration Laws, and the practice of sound employment. 

Chemcare Group is registered with the National Training Council as a Training Provider and currently has one registered Master Trainer and four registered Trainers among its staff. Over 700 members of staff have completed National Training Council accredited courses, at Chemcare Group's in-house training facilities.

12/12/25 NEW JOB OPPORTUNITY - FIXED ASSET OFFICER  

 

Chemcare Group Limited is seeking a qualified Lae-based Fixed Asset Officer to join our Finance Team at Chemcare Head office - Lae.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of company’s fixed asset records, overseeing the entire lifecycle from acquisition and tracking to disposal, ensuring compliance and reconciliation with financial statements for accurate records.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain accurate asset records and provide information for compliance purposes
  • Managing complete asset cycle from acquisition to disposal
  • Reconciliation of Fixed Asset Register to General Ledger
  • Conducting physical asset audits and run monthly depreciation
  • Liaising with internal/external auditors
  • Coordinate with IT and other departments for asset tracking, tagging and verification
  • Managing CAPEX account and Capital Work in progress accounts
  • Maintain lease schedules and reconcile to general ledger accounts
  • Timely review of repairs and maintenance of general ledger accounts
  • Any other tasks related to fixed asset

 

Skills / Qualification / Experience:

 

  • Minimum Certified Accounting Technician
  • More than three (3) years in a similar role
  • Skilled in any enterprise reporting software preferably Pronto
  • Highly proficient in excel pivot tables and lookup
  • Excellent attention to details, analytical and demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Proven record of high standard of work ethics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work well independently with minimum supervision and can work well with a team
  • Good record of time and attendance
