Kerry King arrived from Sydney at the age of 25 years in June 1968 to take up a position at Morobe Pharmacy along 4th Street in Lae. The company had changed its name from K.N.Worral Co. Pty Ltd to Morobe Pharmacy Pty Ltd. In 1971 he met and married Christine Bull. Kerry and Christine raised their two children in Lae and they both attended Bulae School. As he recalls "we still live on our original home today some 40 years on. Our eldest son Daniel after completing studies in Australia returned to Lae where he is now Group General Manager. He lives in Lae with his wife and two sons. He like us , has made his home in Lae, Morobe Province."

Kerry McDonough joined the group some 35 years ago and for the past 20 years has been an inspirational Managing Director and a mentor to Daniel King who he recently appointed as General Manager of the Group. McDonough originally came to PNG to manage Madang Pharmacy. He moved to Lae in 1982 with wife Gloria and two children and have been living here ever since. As Kerry puts it "We more or less run the business like a partnership, we share the one office which is a abit unusual. Our relationship is probably highly unusual in that we get along businesswise exceptionally well, and our families are close. Any partnership can work only if both partners work at it, like a marriage..". Kerry McDonough has been relentless in his contribution to Chemcare Group and is highly respected by all employees. His skills in finance and administration are exceptional accompanied by boundless enthusiasm and energy.

In 1990 Morobe Pharmacies Pty Ltd was changed to Chemcare Pharmacies ltdas it provided services to Lae, Madang, Wewak, Goroka, Mt Hagen, Tabubil, Alotau, Rabaul, Kimbe and Port Moresby. In 2007 Chemcare Pharmacies bought Andersons Foodland in Lae and Kokopo as well as RabTrad. Chemcare then changed its name to Chemcare Group Ltd. Both Kerry King and Kerry McDonough are graduate pharmacists from Australia. Both have devoted much of their time between business work and charity from rotary to school boards, hospital boards and sports and continue to do so today.
